Proof of both NHRA Membership and Competition Number must be available at NHRA Registration. ü All drivers competing in NHRA ET Categories,(including cars, motorcycles or snow mobiles) that run 9.99 (6.39 on the 1/8th) seconds or quicker AND/OR 135 mph and faster on the 1/4, are required to have valid NHRA Competition License. ü All license applicants must be at least 16 years of age and have a state issued driver’s license beyond a learners permit. MULTIPLE ENTRIES ü One driver will not be allowed to drive the same car in two different classes with the exception of participating in both the Summit E.T. Finals classes & the Open Comp classes ü One driver WILL be allowed to drive in two different Summit eliminators, if they drive two different cars. ü One driver will NOT be allowed to “double enter” in the same class. ü One driver will NOT be permitted to drive for TWO different Summit ü One Summit car will NOT be allowed to be shared by two different drivers in Summit classes. ü One JDRL dragster WILL be allowed to be shared by two different drivers in two different classes, on the same team. TECHNICAL INSPECTION ü Technical inspection for the NHRA/Summit Racing ET Finals may be completed prior to the event by the local track technical inspectors. All tech cards and waivers must be signed and completed in full, prior to turning into NHRA registration. ü Tech cards must be filled out completely and legible. Valid NHRA Competition License, State Drivers License and Membership will be verified before the tech card will be accepted at NHRA registration. Race Procedures ü First round potential bye runs will be a random draw. ü Subsequent potential bye runs will be based on reaction time from the previous round. In the event of a tie, the tie breaker will go to the best package. In the event there is still a tie, the potential bye will go to the racer that did it first. ü Bye runs will NOT carry over. They must be re-earned each round. ü No racer may have more than one bye run, unless no other option is available. ü Reasonable efforts will be made to keep team members from running against each other TRACK TEAMS ü Each track may bring up to two (2) teams consisting of 25 racers each in the Summit Series classes. The larger of the two teams must include entrants from a minimum of three (3) of the contested classes. (Sportsman, Pro, Super Pro, or Motorcycle) In order for a class to be represented on “Team 2” it must be included on “Team 1”. The intent is to prevent a track from “stacking a team” in order to gain a competitive advantage. ü No more than 52% (13 of 25) racers may come from a single class. Example: ü In addition, each track may bring one (1) high school student and their points will not count toward to team total. ü Each track may submit two (2) teams consisting of 10 racers in the Junior Dragster classes. These 10-member teams can be a combination of any of the contested classes. The Junior Dragster teams will earn points for a separate team championship, not in conjunction with the Summit Series team championship. ü Each track may bring up to an additional 15 racers for entry in the Open Comp. Some tracks do not contest Open Comp during their regular racing season. Therefore a track may send ANY racer that has supported their track during the calendar year. ü Track season points AND TEAM ROSTER must be submitted to the Southeast Division Office no later than the Friday, September 20th. ü Final Team Roster may be amended by no more than 6 changes and these amendments must be finalized by the time registration closes on Thursday, prior to racing on Friday. ü Each track is allowed to list two alternates per team in addition to their 25-member Summit team(s) roster. The alternates may replace a team member until the close of the NHRA registration on Friday, prior to racing on Saturday. ü If a competitor is listed on the final SUMMIT Series team roster, and is discovered to have not competed at the represented track being represented a MINIMUM of two SUMMIT Series events in the current season, the track will lose any earned points by that racer. In addition, the racer will lose any purse eligibility for that event. Finally, the track may lose participant eligibility for competition at the 2014 season’s Summit ET Finals. ENTRY FEES
