TELEHEALTH OPTION AVAILABLE FOR LEVEL 1-3 LICENSED COMPETITORS NHRA officials announced in May that in light of the pandemic and associated strain on medical resources and other issues, a temporary TELEHEALTH option was being offered as an alternative to an in-person medical exam for competitors who were unable to schedule an in-person exam during the COVID-19 pandemic. Racers are now eligible for extension of active Level 1-3 licenses through August 31st, 2020 if a valid telehealth exam was provided. Because of continuing difficulty in scheduling non-emergency exams, NHRA will grant requests to extend existing telehealth renewals that had an expiration date of December 31st, 2020, through May 31st, 2021. If you wish to extend the expiration date of your license based on a telehealth exam, contact your Division Office to settle payment for renewal of the remaining months in 2020 over the phone. All new telehealth license applicants will need to follow the instructions as previously posted below. New telehealth-based licenses will be granted (if approved) though May 31, 2021. The applicant will contact a physician to schedule a TELEHEALTH exam and share the link below with the medical physician. The physician will be able to complete the NHRA’s Temporary Driver’s Medical Certificate via the online form, which is immediately submitted to NHRA upon submission. The applicant/patient will receive a confirmation email with an attached application for license renewal, that must be completed then submitted to the NHRA Division Offices for processing. Detailed instructions/steps are listed below – if you have specific questions about this process, contact the NHRA Competition Licensing Staff for more information. **This option is only available for Levels 1-3 renewal applicants over the age of 17.**
