As the Carolinas' premier drag racing facility, Rockingham Dragway delivers a season-long smorgasbord of thrilling competition for racers, fans, and sponsors alike. Signature events include Street Car Braggin’ Rights, Mopars at The Rock, Battle for the Thrones, Super Chevy Show, Xtreme Dragbike Association, All Harley World Finals, and the legendary Civil Wars.

Known affectionately as “The Rock,” the track has operated continuously for over 40 years. In 2022, it entered an exciting new era when it was purchased by Dan VanHorn and Al Gennarelli. Since then, the facility has undergone a dramatic transformation, including a brand-new racing surface, state-of-the-art timing system, and extensive upgrades throughout the grounds—new bathrooms, concessions, stage, and a complete rebuild of the iconic concrete grandstands.
