About Puerto Rico International Speedway

Puerto Rico International Speedway (PRIS), better known as the "Pista de Salinas" or Salinas' Track, is an entity dedicated to oranize and promote the automotive sport in Puerto Rico. Using an abandoned airstrip that the United States Army built in 1940, and after a $10 million investment, the Speedway rises today as one of the most important places in Puerto Rico and the caribbean for motor sports and events. Certified by the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA), the track takes advantages of the Army's design, and in 1975 the first quarter mile track was instated. It has ever since been used by several promoters in and out of the island, and is known nationwide as an excellent speedway used both by amateurs and professionals alike.
